GPT Waste Management of Runcorn has purchased a semi automatic baler from 3r Environmental Technology Ltd.

The machine is designed to handle cardboard, paper, plastics and cans and is manufactured by the USA based Marathon Equipment company, the worlds leading manufacturer of waste handling and recycling equipment.

The horizontal semi automatic baler from 3r has a number of unique features, which includes a 15kw motor and produces a ‘mill size’ bale weighing between 500-650kg depending on the product.

The Baler is suitable for a number of applications and its full chamber penetration ensures the maximum use of the press force available. Other features include 1500mm long chargebox, replaceable sheer blade, auto bale eject, veriable bale length and photo cell.

GMT Waste Management is one of the fastest growing and most successful waste management companies in the UK and with over 30 years experience in the industry has a long list of prestigious clients, including Cannon and Rotherham Borough Council.

GMT has bought this latest machine for use in their brand new M-Pak Recycling centre. Opened in December 2006, the centre currently collects over 125 tonnes of cardboard and plastic, with paper and cardboard re-used to help the environment.
